Meet our fluffy herd
The Herd
Every one of our alpacas has its own personality — some are curious and come running straight over, others need a moment before they warm up to you. That's exactly what makes meeting them so special. The wellbeing of our animals always comes first: species-appropriate husbandry with proper stabling, plenty of pasture time, good feed, fresh water and regular veterinary care are a given for us. Through my years of experience with animals and people, including time at Hof Wiedwisch, I know what a herd needs to stay healthy and content.
Wool & Products
Alpaca wool is something special: soft, temperature-regulating and suitable for many allergy sufferers. We have the wool from each of our animals processed by the Sunna Alpakas workshop in Walsleben — regional, fair and of the highest quality.
Every fleece is treated individually. No anonymous mass production, but genuine craftsmanship from Germany. The entire production stays in the country — short distances, transparent origin.
I've learnt to process alpaca wool by hand myself. In my workshops, I love sharing this knowledge: from carding to fibre properties through to the finished product — here you experience the entire journey from animal to yarn.
In our range you'll find alpaca wool, raw wool, carded slivers, knitwear and little niceties. Everything comes in different price ranges, but is always regional and high quality. Perfect for keeping or giving as a gift.
Our Breeding
We breed thoughtfully and responsibly. For us, it's not about quantity but quality — healthy animals with good temperament and fine fibre. Every animal is cared for individually and lives within a stable herd structure. People around here know us, and many are already looking forward to getting to know our alpacas. That means a lot to us and shows we're in exactly the right place.
