Alpaca Walks
An alpaca on a lead, nature all around you, and a pace you've long forgotten in everyday life. Our walks take you along field paths and through the countryside around Holtsee — and the alpacas decide how fast things go. Sometimes they stop to nibble on a blade of grass. Sometimes they stride ahead with purpose. That's not a bug, that's the feature.
Before the walk, I'll explain how to lead the alpaca, what to watch out for and what the animals enjoy. Don't worry — it's easier than you think. The alpacas are halter-trained and love walking. After a few minutes, you'll have the hang of it, and off you go. Along the way, I'm happy to tell you about the animals, the area, or nothing at all — entirely up to you.
We walk in small groups of four people maximum, so everyone can lead their own alpaca. That way, the walk becomes what it's meant to be: a calm, genuine experience in nature. Children aged 10 and over can lead an alpaca themselves — younger ones walk together with an adult.

Good to know
Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no sandals or heels, please. We walk in light rain; in storms or thunder, we reschedule. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start at a relaxed pace.

65 €Felting, spinning, carding wool — in a cosy group, I'll show you how to make something lovely from our alpaca wool. You'll learn all about the special properties of the fibre and take your own piece home.
